A school shadow is an ABA therapist who attends a regular education school with your child in order to provide support necessary to make the school experience successful. This includes: helping your child socialize; making adjustments to class work; consulting with the classroom teacher; and ensuring that school is a positive experience for your child. The goal is to, over time, fade out shadow support.
The ABA therapists at the Center for Growth & Development have been shadowing students in public and private schools throughout the tri-state area since 2002. We have supported students in daycare and preschool settings, public school classrooms, private schools, Montessori schools, catholic schools, high schools, community colleges, and private universities.

Our dedicated facility also provides the perfect environment to administer related services including Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
