That’s right folks…. Peter Gerhardt, Behavior Analyst to the Stars, will be coming to the Center in December.  Dr. Gerhardt is a dynamic speaker and a world renowned expert in the field of autism treatment, with specific expertise in adolescence and transitioning to adulthood.

On Saturday December 3, 2011 Dr. Gerhardt will be presenting a workshop entitled “Bridges to Adulthood: Promoting Competence, Dignity, and Quality of Life”. The workshop is full day, 9:00am-4:00pm, and will take place at the Center.  Seats will be offered first to Center staff and clients, and any remaining spots will be made available to the greater community. Nearly 90 members of the Center family traveled to White Plains, NY Sunday to take part in the 10th annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Our team, “The Reinforcers” raised over $11,000 for Autism Speaks. Beautiful weather and an incredible turn out made the 2011 walk the best yet.

The Center set up a booth in the Community Resource Fair. We met countless amazing people- other vendors who provide services to children and families, members of the Autism Speaks staff, devoted parents enjoying a day of camaraderie within a supportive community, and remarkable children who work each day to overcome challenges related to living with an autism spectrum disorder. Our Center team wore cool “Will Work for Positive Reinforcement” Super-Reinforcer T-shirts and received a great deal positive reinforcement on our clever design!
