Nearly 90 members of the Center family traveled to White Plains, NY Sunday to take part in the 10th annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks. Our team, “The Reinforcers” raised over $11,000 for Autism Speaks. Beautiful weather and an incredible turn out made the 2011 walk the best yet.
The Center set up a booth in the Community Resource Fair. We met countless amazing people- other vendors who provide services to children and families, members of the Autism Speaks staff, devoted parents enjoying a day of camaraderie within a supportive community, and remarkable children who work each day to overcome challenges related to living with an autism spectrum disorder. Our Center team wore cool “Will Work for Positive Reinforcement” Super-Reinforcer T-shirts and received a great deal positive reinforcement on our clever design!
A heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated money to our team. We couldn’t be more proud to be surrounded by a community of people who are willing to fight alongside us in hopes of a better future for the children we love. Thank you to the amazing Center staff for your hard work in the set up and execution- you made it a wonderful day for all. And last but certainly not least, thank you to the Center families who traveled with their children to participate in the event- you are our inspiration.
